Membership Benefits 

The Builders Exchange of Northwest Michigan, Inc. provides many benefits and services to the membership. 

Standard Membership

The Builders Exchange membership year runs from October 1st through September 30th.  Upon joining, memberships are prorated. Please call for specials or a free trial.

• There is one standard class of membership, which is $450 per year. The standard membership allows the following:
  • 24/7 access to the physical plan room via a magnetic key for each member. Extra keys are available for $15 each.
  • On-line access to all project details, in pre-bid, out-for-bid, or archived projects.
  • All membership benefits (see Reference Guide for details)
• An upgrade to the standard membership is $400 per year. The upgrade allows you to view and/or download plans, specs, and addenda, online.

 All applications are considered by the Board of Directors at their next regularly scheduled monthly board meeting.

24/7 Physical Plan Room

Located at 1373 Barlow in Traverse City, every member has a magnetic key so they can come in and do their "take-off" at their convenience.  Along with work stations and supplies for use while on site you also have access to our wireless internet.  Bring your lap top with you. 

Monthly Web Site Workshops

The first Wednesday of most months at 8:30am in the Builders Exchange Office, the staff takes you on a trip around the website so you get the most our of your membership.  If getting to the office is a problem, call and set up a private workshop in your office.

Printing/Scanning/Copying Service

Plans and specs can be ordered online, when in the plan room, or by phone.

Special Events and General Membership Meetings

The Builders Exchange of Northwest Michigan offers social events that encourage networking and also relaxation and fun.  We hold approximately 6 dinner meeting per year, including our annual business meeting in October.

• Our Annual Golf Outing is July 19th, 2012 at Crystal Mountain.  
• Miscellaneous sporting events, such as a Beach Bums Game, Bird Shooting, Skeet Shoots, Salmon Fishing Charter, and other get-togethers. 
• Awards of Excellence Banquet will be in January 26, 2012 at Great Wolf Lodge.
